Dorota Anna Krawczyk, PhD, DSc, Assoc. Prof. is Vice-Rector for International Cooperation and Head of the Department of Sustainable Construction and Building Systems at Bialystok University of Technology, Poland. Her research focuses on heating, ventilation, indoor air quality, energy efficiency, renewable energy integration in buildings, and building energy simulation, with particular emphasis on decarbonization strategies and sustainable construction solutions. She has authored and co-authored more than 200 peer-reviewed publications and books and has delivered over 80 conference presentations worldwide. Her scientific output includes an H-index of 11 and over 480 citations. She has coordinated multiple international and national research and educational projects related to energy efficiency, sustainable buildings, and innovative engineering education. Prof. Krawczyk also serves as a European Climate Pact Ambassador and is an active member of international professional organizations such as WSSET, IBPSA, SDEWES, and EAIE.

Dongsheng (Huang D), Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, Professor &PEng, Deputy Director of the Biomaterial and Structure Branch of the China Architectural Society, Standing Council Member of the Advanced Material Branch of the China Civil Engineering Society, and Member of the International Organization for Standardization Technical Committee on Timber Structures (ISO TC165). Research Areas: Strength theory of composite materials; Structural vibration control; and Contemporarybamboo and timber structures.

Antonio Albuquerque is an Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture (DECA) at the University of Beira Interior (Covilhã, Portugal) and the Director of the GeoBioTec@UBI research unit. He has over 35 years of experience in the following areas: drinking water treatment and distribution; drainage, treatment, and reuse of wastewater; treatment and reuse of rainwater and stormwater; integrated use of multiple water matrices in urban and rural areas; and the valorisation of mineral and industrial waste. In recent years, he has held the following positions: President of the College of Environmental Engineering, member of the Admissions and Qualification Council, and member of the Assembly of Representatives of the Portuguese Order of Engineers; Scientific Coordinator of the FibEnTech research unit; Vice-President of the Portuguese Water Resources Association (APRH); and Vice-President of the Portuguese Association of Sanitary and Environmental Engineering (APESB). Current research interests: 1) Nutrient removal in fixed-film reactors; 2) Microalgae technology for wastewater treatment and biomass valorisation; 3) Decentralized nature-based solutions for water cleaning and reuse; 4) Upcycling industrial waste in environmental sanitation applications.

Jamal Khatib, is presently Professor of Civil Engineering, Faculty Engineering at Beirut Arab University (BAU)-Lebanon and Emeritus Professor of the University of Wolverhampton (UoW)–UK. Prof Khatib is a Chartered Engineer, a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers in the UK and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy-UK. He is an Honorary Professor of the Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology in China, a Visiting Professor of Shanghai Jin Tao University in China and the University of La Rochelle in France. Prof Khatib has over 600 publications with over 15,000 citations & H-index of 53. He is an editor of 5 books. He is an Editorial Board member of many academic Journals including the Editor-in-Chief, Associate Editor & Guest Editor roles. He reviews articles for 300 academic journals. Stanford University in the US ranked Prof. Khatib as one the top 2% researchers in the world (1st in Lebanon, 2nd in the Middle East) in the Building and Construction field. According to the Web of Science (Publons), Jamal is classified as top 1% civil engineering reviewers globally. He is a recipient of research funds from the European Union, Royal Society, British Council and the Institution of Structural Engineers. He established research links with universities in China, Algeria, India, Turkey, Nigeria, Kazakhstan, Iraq, Ukraine, US, Canada, France, Finland, Portugal, Slovenia, South Africa, Brazil & Australia.
